How do I apply for an Opportunity?

Log in to your Leaply account: Click on “Opportunity Search” in the menu bar. *To narrow down the opportunities you qualify for click on ‘MATCHES’

You can apply instantly by clicking on the “APPLY” button of a specific opportunity that your profile match with.
You can also search by the city you are looking for opportunities:

If there is still anything outstanding from your application, a message will appear asking you to add the outstanding information:

Once your profile is completed and you qualify, you will be able to apply. If you still do not qualify to apply for the opportunity - and you believe you should be able to, please refer to the “Why don’t I qualify” article.
Finally, please remember that the majority of our clients do continuous screening - it is therefore very important that you attend to any outstanding action items (your “To-Do List”).

Clients will only consider applications that are fully completed, examples of outstanding actions are:
a. Upload your secondary education transcript, b. Upload your academic transcripts, c. Complete the screening questions for the opportu

ID already in Database?

Accepted Answer

This could be due to the reason you signed up using a different email address in the past. This email address could be your student email address, work email address or your personal email address. If you have tried logging on with one of your ‘old’ email addresses and you are still struggling to sign in, please feel free to contact the support team.

Why don’t I qualify to apply for a specific opportunity?

Once you have completed your profile and you click on “APPLY” but you do not qualify to apply, the following message will pop up:

To view why you do not qualify for the specific opportunity, one of the emoticons on the left bottom corner of your screen will be red. You can click on the red thumbs down icon (in this example: the education icon) and a screen will appear where you will be able to see the exact reason why you do not qualify to apply for the opportunity.

What is Leaply?

Leaply is an online application platform that makes it really simple to discover and apply for available opportunities.

The system matches your credentials against the requirements set by the hiring managers and shows you instantly which opportunities you qualify to apply for.

You can then easily apply to any (or all) of these opportunities using your Leaply profile.

Once you have submitted your application, you will get notified each time one of the hiring managers performs an action on your application.

This way you are always kept up to date and know exactly where your application is in the hiring process - you will be able to track the status of your application(s) in real-time from your Leaply dashboard.

How do I complete the Financial Needs Assessment required for some bursary applications?

Accepted Answer

If you have been asked to fill out a Financial Needs Assessment for your bursary application, you will need to go to your dashboard and click on "View Application" on the application that it is required for.

You will see at the bottom of this page, there are screening questions and also, a Household Financial Assessment.

When completing this assessment, please note: you need to add both your father's and mother's information. If one, or both of them, do not financially support you, you need to please add an affidavit stating why, you can upload this where you would have uploaded a payslip.

I have applied now what?

Accepted Answer

Once you have applied, your application and profile will be available for the company you applied to. They will then screen your application.

Please keep an eye on your dashboard and your application for any progress made or if you have any application questions that need to be answered and submitted.

Also ensure your profile is kept up to date and is as complete as can be so that the company you applied to knows as much about you as possible.
